Project Emerald
A downloadable game for Windows
Hello, and thank you for visiting my page! Project Emerald is something I've been working on a long time as many different things. A while ago I posted a small part of my vision in game form. I still have that project available on my page here. Feel free to check it out. Also, please check out my newer games as well. These all take place on the same world - Regalis.
This is a general page where I will be keeping my dev-logs, and any news regard.ing Project Emerald as a whole and news about world building Regalis. I'm currently working on a web page that covers as much about Regalis as I have created so far. If it gets anywhere close to an organized state, I will publish it.
The game here is a look at my original world map and other maps I have created. I'm using RPGMakerMZ and tilesets I bought either on Steam or Humble Bundle. I will be changing characters to depict my art later on. I did the graphic on the title page. There is no music yet. The plug ins that I use are all from VisuStella, they are on the credit page that they designed.
If you downloaded the game (Only available for Windows):
To run the game, extract the files, and in the first folder there is an application called "Game". Open "Game" and you should be good.
Current Version: Project Emerald 0825
Okay, I just decided to upload what I have on the Project Emerald base. There is no music, and only some baked in sound effects. The area south of the big city, a cave entrance, does not have collision, because I am in the middle of giving the area a new look. You can see the old area in Project Aries (Aries Fate in Motion, needs a new title, whatever). There might be some missing files too (I can fix that as long as I know which files did not transfer during deployment. I have not run into issues except the usual why when I exclude files does it always remove the entire pictures folder?)
I marked any place you can enter on the world map with a green spire. The big city, the ice area, and the underground passage has random encounters. Those places, plus the cave in the north on the island with the tower all have items. (Other places might have some stuff, but I don't really remember. It has been so long since I took a good stock of the place.
This is where I tested some "proof of concept" stuff for games as well as a foundation, so if you come across something real strange, I just forgot to remove the event. I really wanted to push out an updated version as soon as possible, because what was here was very old. Despite all this, I hope you enjoy this little sample of this project.
I know I'm still just starting out, but I want to display my progress and stay motivated. Posting here has been a great help so far.
Thank you again for checking this out!
NOTE: Due to the amount of files exceeding the limit, I could not get the browser version to work at this time. The download does run after being downloaded, so at least that definitely works. I will need to remove some unused files that the engine thinks I'm using before attempting another browser upload. I'm just happy the proto-type runs. Hopefully, I can make it more accessible to people soon. Thank you for your understanding.

I had to take the Mac Version down, because it doesn't seem to work. I'm looking into the problem and trying to fix it. Hopefully, it will be available soon!
Unfortunately, the Mac issue is much more complicated than I thought. I have someone with a little more experience with tech issues looking into it. It may take a while, but I'm hoping to fix it and still make this Mac compatible. I loved my Mac Air, and I was always sad not many games were playable on it. Thanks for reading!
