A downloadable game for Windows

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page! Project Emerald is something I've been working on a long time as many different things. A while ago I posted a small part of my vision in game form. I still have those projects available on my page here. Feel free to check them out. This is a new game using those ideas. I'm hoping to keep up a dev-log  with updates on my progress.

I'm using RPGMakerMZ and tilesets I bought either on Steam or Humble Bundle. I will be changing characters to depict my art later on. I did the graphic on the title page. There is no music yet. The plug ins that I use are all from VisuStella, they are on the credit page that they designed.

To run the game, extract the files, and in the first folder there is an application called "Game". Open "Game" and you should be good.

Current Version: v240325

This is an art test update, and I'm so sorry it's a bit large. You can read my devlog if you're curious.  One known bug, due to me not fixing the plug-in yet, the CG Gallery will crash the game. I know what's wrong thanks to my other project, but it's a tedious repair for today. It will get fixed once I'm all caught up on unfinished art. If you haven't tried Path of the Light Guardian yet, please check it out. It's not perfect, but it is a finished product. I think it was worth the pause on this. I learned so much!

Older Version: v231002

I deleted the old versions, because this version gives the same freedom the first version had and the battles the second version had. This version has two maps with enemies, an underground passage and a snow area. Power ups for humans are in the passage and power ups for the elementals are in the snow area. There are markers on the map that don't go anywhere yet, I was just marking areas where my next batch of maps will go. My last version had some really bad errors (like exiting into the ocean because I didn't fix exits when I adjusted the map>_<), and are hopefully resolved in this version. Still no music, but this is all the in game work I've done over the month. Progress is slow right now, because I'm trying to concentrate on the art. I'm not doing all the art at once, just some character work for menus and my own original item and spell images.

I know I'm still just starting out, but I want to display my progress and stay motivated. Posting here has been a great help so far.

Thank you again for checking this out!

I had to take the Mac Version down, because it doesn't seem to work. I'm looking into the problem and trying to fix it. Hopefully, it will be available soon!

Unfortunately, the Mac issue is much more complicated than I thought. I have someone with a little more experience with tech issues looking into it. It may take a while, but I'm hoping to fix it and still make this Mac compatible. I loved my Mac Air, and I was always sad not many games were playable on it.  Thanks for reading!
